In 1995, a BHP BIlliton joint venture was awarded the Dadu Concession (Block 2667-1) located in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. The Zamzama gas field was discovered in 1998.  The field began producing in March 2001. Full field development (Phase 1) was completed in July 2003 and a gas sales agreement was signed with SSGCL/SNGPL for sale of 320MMSCFD of gas.  The next phase of Zamzama development has recently been completed involving new gas treatment facilities to increase gas sales by an additional 150 million standard cubic feet per day.
Pakistan's operations achieved a significant milestone - eight years without a Lost Time Incident at its Zamzama Gas Plant operation.  The facility continued certification for both ISO 14001 for Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Systems and received an Environmental Excellence Award by the Pakistan NGO, the National Forum for Environment and Health.  The Pakistan operations sponsored significant community programs focusing on sustainable development.

Position Synopsis

This is a field based position on rotation reporting to the Materials Supervisor.  Key responsibilities include provision of safe, efficient and effective inventory management and materials issuance/receipt; maintaining inventory of HSEC critical items and their spares; identification of surplus, obsolete, unfit for use and/or non-certified items and assigning in GSAP; fork lifter operations within and outside warehouse; ensuring all risks associated with inventory and materials storage are identified and addressed; maintenance of Dangerous Goods Register; maintaining of record of MSDS register and filing of all MSDS of chemicals.

Skills & Experience

Graduate or DAE (Associate Diploma) in any discipline (preferred) with 5-7 years relevant experience. Knowledge of inventory management software, warehousing/material handling techniques and hazardous/non-hazardous substances. Experience in oil & gas industry and understanding of GSAP will be preferred.  Should be computer literate with good command of written and spoken English
