KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB

Ensures
smooth operations and maximum productivity to achieve sales objectives of
his/her department through accurate inventory control, adherence to
merchandising standards, good personnel management and development.



SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Sales and Customer Management

Improves sales by recommending, planning and implementing sales
strategies.Ensures customer satisfaction by building rapport and attending to
their queries, complaints, and suggestions.Keeps abreast with competitors’ prices, product launches, and
promotional activities.Monitor achievements vs targets; work out an action plans and its
execution.Constant communication to the customer on promotional activities.Implement Customer Marketing Program (Internal Sales Force) within
the department :

a.
Product
files for all products.

b.
Liaise
with CDEs / CDOs on Customer Visit Forms / Feedback.

c.
Promote
cross-selling of products with other departments.

d.
Utilize
all other tools e.g. BI, in order to meet the department sales target.

e.
Obtains
customer feedback in the store via customer panel.

Updating of Customer or Product Info from the external sales force into
the Product.

Obtain customer feedback by interacting with customers at the stores and
by visiting the customers with potential.



Inventory and Quality Control

Prepares the Order Proposal List (OPL) and Emergency Purchase
Orders (EPO) for the approval of the Assistant Store General Manager.Prepares for, participates, and monitors the cyclic and annual
stocktakes; checks proposed stock corrections.Monitors and minimizes shrinkage by instructing Store Assistants on
how to properly handle merchandise, ensuring strict compliance to FIFO and
monitoring expiration of products through systematic stocking of reserved
stocks at the storage area.Monitors stocks ageing (obsoletes) and recommends strategies to
minimize shrinkage and/or negative effect on margins. Checks the adequacy of inventory through perpetual/ quarterly
random inventory count to ensure that the standard level is available to
meet projected sales and avoid over/ under stock.Coordinates closely with the Buyers/Assistant Buyers/ Suppliers to
ensure timely deliveries, proper pricing, adequate stocks and availability
of the latest product lines; recommends additions to article assortments.



Merchandising



Ensures the availability of adequate stock at the display area by
directing Store Assistants to replenish and display stocks, closely
coordinating with the Goods Receiving Section, Suppliers and
Buyers/Assistant Buyers on orders, deliveries.Directs Store Assistants on the strategic positioning
and display of merchandise to facilitate fast and slow-moving articles.Checks regularly during the day the availability, timeliness and
accuracy of signage and rail cards.Ensures that goods left at the Checkout area are immediately
returned at the display area.

Ensures cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work area by
directing Store Assistants and Merchandisers/Promodisers to free aisles of
clutter and display areas of dust.





Staff Management and Development

Delegates duties to the staff with clear objectives to ensure
efficiency and productivity.Ensures work progress by monitoring implementation of work plans.Motivate staff by encouraging feedbacks/ suggestions, providing
timely performance discussions, coaching and counseling, and training and
development.



Reports

Prepares and submits Service Level and Sales Reports.Performs other duties as may be assigned.



JOB SPECIFICATIONS



EDUCATION

Graduate of a 4-year business-related course.

strong customer orientation, innovative/ creative, high stress tolerance.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL
COMPETENCY:

At least 2 years supervisory
experience gained from a retail/wholesale.Organization; should possess excellent communication, interpersonal,
leadership, analytical and negotiation skills; computer literate.
