Job Description:

The person in this position must have knowledge of youth career counseling and youth development. The individual will be required to develop a youth career development framework, develop linkages with prospective employers, and guide students by developing individual careers plans.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development of youth career development framework:
  • Develop linkages with various corporate and public sector organizations for possibilities of internship for INSTITUTE students.
  • Undertake student profiling
  • Develop linkages with various institutions focusing on youth leadership and career development
  • Meeting with the youth to evaluate their career goals and expectations.
  • Outlining and establishing a personal development plan for each student to help them obtain their career goals.
  • Design, develop and conduct personal development trainings for youth.
  • Manage youth forums and actively bring together / mobilize youth to form a YOUTH FORUM, a committee that organizes seminars/ discussion on various areas.

Required Qualification:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Counseling, Youth Development, Social Sciences or in an applicable subject area.

Required Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field.

Required Skills:

  • Advance knowledge of office related software (Microsoft Office, Internet and E-mail).
  • Proficiency in English language; good writing and speaking ability (including report writing and oral presentations) .
  • Professional and personal traits; Good listener, Creative thinker, Decision maker, Problem solver, Undertakes Responsibility, Team worker.
  • Able to work in a challenging work environment.
